Rate Your Prison is a joint initiative from the Prison Advice & Care Trust (PACT) and over 600 other charities who manage Prison Visitors’ Centres in prisons across the UK.
It has been set up to give visitors a way to be heard – to sing the praises of staff and visitors’ centres, to highlight challenges, even vent frustrations. All in an open and transparent forum anyone can access, whether you’re a visitor, prospective visitor, prison Governor or local MP.
Rate Your Prison visit once or after each visit
Every time you do, you affect the prison’s position in our league table. We give prisons points for positive ratings and deduct points for negative ratings. Their overall score is a current tally of these points. The more points a prison receives, the higher it will rank against other prisons. But also bare in mind the number of ratings submitted to validate these results. The more people who have rated a prison, the more you can trust their score.
